This Week's Vibe: Nao - Orbit
Moving on from someone is a hard concept to gravitate to - even when you have gravitated to it, the practice of moving on can be a tough pill to swallow.
Nao skillfully and sensitively sings about how difficult attachment can be at the point of an ending relationship.
She expresses how emotionally confusing and deep into the pitfalls of love one feels, when someone decides to leave the relationship and at that point, you find yourself learning to deal with the reality of being released into Orbit.
She transitions from airily vocalizing her emotions into a cute-bubblegum rap verse, and lastly into a powerful instrumentalist telling tale that had me teary
Orbit feels like a soft groovy, orchestrated tale of lost love. As she yearns for navigation of her own emotions equally accepting fate of her situation.
Her Colors version of Orbit, in my opinion, is even better than its original.
Listen to two versions of her tale here
