Our pick this week: Song of the Week

For this week’s “Song of the Week” installment, we bring you Dead to Me (Acoustic) by Colombian-American, Neo Soul singer Kali Uchis. This masterpiece was released in 2018 and is the acoustic version of a song on her debut album, Isolation.

Dead to Me tells the tale of a person - possibly a past lover- who Kali Uchis wants nothing to do with, stating multiple times that he is “Dead to [her]”. The song vividly paints a picture of an atmosphere just as cold as her heart has become towards the person.

With the songs harmonious melodies, sweet vocals and angelic harp-music, the song surely soothes the sting of her words making it worthy of being our top pick for this week.
